Verbier Marathon X-Treme
WARNING: technical and alpine trail
If you don't like technical and mountainous trails, this one is not for you, and you should rather consider the Verbier Marathon. A variant without the most technical part.
The start will be given above the village of Bruson. The mountainous single track is winding along the ridge with awesome views on the Grand Combin and Mt Blanc. A small technical trail along the ridge will lead you to the top of Mt Rogneux, the highest point of the race at 3084m. Then you go down, and reach the Panossière area, with its suspension bridge and its glacier. You’ll be very close to the Grd Combin, standing above you at 4314m. The race finishes in Verbier.

In May you'll have to subscribe to a specific time interval on your dashboard.
You must come in person with your ID Card to pick up your bib. As we put you an Identification bracelet, another person can't come to pick up your bib for you.
Compulsory material will be checked only during the race.

It is not possible to drive to the start. You will need to leave your vehicle in Le Châble.
From there, take the gondola from Le Châble-Gare to the start area (Bruson / Moay). Specific departure times will be organised according to your starting wave. This information will be sent to you in May.
The Le Châble–Bruson gondola is free for runners. Supporters can purchase a day pass for CHF 15, available on our website.
If you are staying in Verbier, you can take the gondola directly from Verbier and travel via Le Châble to reach the start (same gondola line, CHF 6.40 or free with the VIP Pass).
After the race, you can take the gondola from Verbier back down to Le Châble free of charge. The gondola operates from 05:15 to 23:50.
If you don't already have one, we will provide you with a 30l UTMB bag when you collect your bib. You must use this bag if you want to give us a bag on the starting line just before your start.
You can claim this bag in Verbier up to Sunday 04:00 pm
We have no responsability for the content of those bags. Don't leave any valuable objects in them.
Showers, massages and podiatrists are available in Verbier at the Centre Sportif.
You can have a free Runners' meal at Place de L'Ermitage presenting your bib.
Finishing the Verbier Marathon X-Treme will provide you 2 Running Stones, allowing you to take part to the UTMB World Series Finals ballot.
It will also be considered to calculate your UTMB Index in the 50K category.
Top 3 men and women scratch will benefit from a direct entry to UTMB Mt Blanc, category 50K.
