Registration conditions

Subscriptions will be open only to runners with a UTMB index from 06th October 2026 at 10:00 up to 8th October 2026 at 10:00 After this pre sale time, subscriptions will be open to runners with or without UTMB index, up to the 04.07.2027 at 23:59 unless the race is sold out before. There will be no waiting list.

• X-Alpine: To be born in 2007 or before
• X-Traversée, Verbier Marathon : To be born in 2009 or before
• Verbier X-Plore : To be born in 2011 or before

In Switzerland it’s not compulsory to present a medical certificate for the competitions. However we strongly recommend to make effort tests with your specialist regularly for your own safety.

Every runner must have a personal accident insurance covering the rescue costs in Switzerland and Italy.

No medical evacuation (helicopter, ambulance ...) will be covered by the organisation.

If you don't have such insurance we strongly suggest you the Assurinco insurance which will allow you to run, ski, ride all year long with no worries.

Elite runners can gain a free entry to the UTMB World Series Events which is determined by their UTMB Index within the chosen race category. For more details, please check the entry conditions here.

• X-Alpine: from 275.- to 309.- CHF
• X-Traversée: from 172.- to 208.- CHF
• Verbier Marathon X-Treme: from 124.- to 144.- CHF
• Verbier Marathon: from 122.- to 142.- CHF
• Verbier X-Plore: from 82.- to 97.- CHF
• Trail Découverte: 10.- CHF
• X-Orient: 15.- CHF

Payment by credit card only. Swiss VAT included An additional 8% administration fee will be charged. Those administration fees are not refundable in case of cancelation.

Those subscription fees include all the services described below.

• Race Bib
• Time recording
• gifts to participants
• Access to aid stations
• Transport of the bag for X-Alpine, X-Traversée and Verbier Marathons
• Transport from Le Châble to the starts of X-Traversée and Verbier Marathons
• Medical assistance
• After race services (Shower, massage, rest room, hot meal)

To another runner:

Subscription is nominative.

However, it’s possible to transfer a subscription to another runner until 31st May,2027 as long as the new runner has the requested age for the race. 20 CHF is asked for this transfer.

Note that the refund insurance won't be transfered to the new runner and the insurance is deleted once the bib is transfered. It's not possible to conclude a new refund insurance for a transfered bib.

Warning: If you found someone who proposed to sell you their bib, ask for a proof of registration (confirmation e-mail or dashboard print screen) to be sure they really have a bib before paying them!

How to transfer your bib:

• Go on your dashboard via the link in the confirmation e-mail or via your MyUTMB account.

• Enter the new runner's e-mail on the "transfer my registration" block.

• The new runner will receive a link to subscribe and pay only the transfer fees.

• Both runners have to agree on how much and how they will proceede with the refund of the subscription fees.

For safety reasons, it’s not allowed to transfer your bib using another procedure.

On another race in the same event:

It’s possible to transfer your subscription on another race up to 12th June 2026. In this case, no refund will be made. If you wish to transfer to a longer race your transfer will be effective once the payment of the price difference will be made. For any transfer, please write us to organisation@trailvsb.com.

Transfers are only available if your registration date is before the fill-up date of your chosen race.

Registration cancellation insurance :

PROTECT SPORT is an insurance policy designed by our partners Xplorassur for runners (both amateur and professional), specifically covering the cost of your race bib in case you're unable to participate.

Important: This insurance is only available at the time of registration. The fees for the cancellation insurance is 10% of the subscription fees. The insurance only covers race registration fees and does not include any additional purchases or costs.

It is the only reimbursement option available, as bibs are non-refundable, non-transferable to another event, and non-deferrable to a future edition.

The insurance covers you in case of:

• Injury / Illness / Accident / Death
• Events beyond your control that are unforeseen and unknown at the time of registration

The insurance does not cover:

• Poor training
• Weather conditions
• Failure to meet registration requirements
• Change of mind
• Schedule conflict
• Event cancellation by the organizer

you will get a refund of the registration fees minus a 10% deductible with a 15€ minimum.

Cancellation of parts or of the whole event :

If a race is cancelled or if the event needs to be organized differently (e.g. different routes or starting time/day), for any reason beyond the control of the organisation, runners will be partially refunded the entry fees. The amount of the refund will be decided as to allow the organization to deal with the irremediable expenses incurred as of the date of the cancellation. Runners will be refunded as follows: (% calculated on the total amount of bib and transport cost, administration fees not included)

• Until March 9th 2027 - 60%
• Until April 9th 2027 - 50%
• Untill May 9th 2027 - 30%
• After May 9th 2027 - No refund

Runners must claim the refund to the organization before a limit date that will be communicated after the cancellation.
