Verbier Marathon
The "runable" alpine marathon.
This race avoid the Mt Rogneux for those who are not fully at ease on moutainous technical trail. The rest of the race is commun with the Verbier X-Treme Marathon, passing by the Panossière area and its glacier.

In May you'll have to subscribe to a specific time interval on your dashboard.
You must come in person with your ID Card to pick up your bib. As we put you an Identification bracelet, another person can't come to pick up your bib for you.
Compulsory material will be checked only during the race.

Le Chable, Espace St Marc

It's not possible to join the start by car. You'll have to park your vehicle in Le Chable.
Then you can take the cable car from Le Châble to the start (Bruson / Moay). So that everybody can join the start on time, we request that you come in advance, according to your starting time.
The cable car Le Châble - Bruson is free for the runners who will receive a ticket. Other cable car sections aren't included in this ticket.
It will be open from 06:30 on Saturday morning.
If you slept in Verbier you can to take the cable car in Verbier and go to the start via Le Châble (same line, CHF 6.40- or free with the VIP pass).
After the race you can go down to Le Châble from Verbier with the cable car (open from 5:15 am to 23:50 pm).
Saturday 11th July 2026, Moay (above Bruson)
To avoid trafic jam, you'll be assigned a starting time according to your general UTMB index, updated on June 1st.
Runners without a valid UTMB index can fill this form if they think they should start with an earlier wave.
Once your wave has been attributed, it's possible to start in a later wave, but not in an earlier one.
Runners starting earlier than expected will receive a 2 hour penalty.

- 07:45 am: Bibs 3550 to 3999
- 08:00 am: Bibs 4000 to 4360
- 08:15 am: Bibs 4400 to 4670
- 08:30 am: Bibs 4700 to 4960
Note: Elite women with a UTMB general index above 680 will have their index increased by 14% to allow them to start in the first wave.
If you don't already have one, we will provide you with a 30l UTMB bag when you collect your bib. You must use this bag if you want to give us a bag on the starting line just before your start.
You can claim this bag in Verbier up to Sunday 04:00 pm
We have no responsability for the content of those bags. Don't leave any valuable objects in them.
Showers, massages and podiatrists are available in Verbier at the Centre Sportif.
You can have a free Runners' meal at Place de L'Ermitage presenting your bib.
Finishing the Verbier Marathon will provide you 2 Running Stones, allowing you to take part to the UTMB World Series Finals ballot.
It will also be considered to calculate your UTMB Index in the 50K category.
Top 3 men and women scratch will benefit from a direct entry to UTMB Mt Blanc, category 50K.

*For non-residents of Switzerland, a withholding tax of approximately 8% is deducted from the prize. The prize is paid via bank transfer.
